How I Work

The work starts well before the writing, in reading around a subject and following an argument all the way down, even when the material resists being made clear.

I write long-form in French, and I move texts both ways between French and English, remaking them until they hold in the other language and the effect survives where a literal version would lose it.

The craft came from years of reading closely, in two languages, long before any of it became work. Working on my own since gave me the room to write at length and go deep.

My Services

My core offer is English-to-French transcreation. I recreate marketing and editorial copy so it lands in French with its original effect intact, rather than tracking the source word for word.

Alongside it, I write French long-form and editorial pieces, researched and analytical, dense without being hard to read. I also ghostwrite in both languages, holding a defined voice across registers so the finished text sounds like its author, not like me.

When a text calls for accuracy over recreation, I provide faithful translation, proofreading and register adaptation from English to French. And I take on language work for AI, from evaluation and quality rating to written judgment on model output, where native fluency and analytical rigour count most.

Across all of it the standard stays the same: writing that reads as if a native hand produced it from the start.

Background

I started in literature, trained as a bookseller, and spent years recommending and handling books before I made writing my work. Earlier still I drafted legal contracts, where a misplaced term has consequences and precision is not optional. Those years shaped an eye for register and an ear for how a sentence carries.

Ten years of self-directed practice followed, reading, researching and writing across difficult subjects, from geopolitics and ecology to a multi-part series on the foundations of quantum physics, researched entirely from English sources and written in French.

Today I focus on three things: judgment-based AI language work, English-to-French transcreation, and premium editorial writing. The common thread is a native French hand, an analytical mind trained on hard sources, and the discipline to make complexity read clearly.
